Crawler
About our crawler
If you run a homebuilder’s website and found this address in your logs, this page is for you.
How to identify it
Every request we make carries this User-Agent, unchanged:
Dwellmark/1.0 (+https://dwellmark.house/bot)We do not disguise the crawler as a browser, rotate identities, or use residential proxy pools. One token, on every request, so you can always tell it apart from your human traffic.
How to block or slow it
The ordinary way works. To stop us entirely, put this in your robots.txt:
User-agent: Dwellmark
Disallow: /To keep us out of particular paths, or to slow us down:
User-agent: Dwellmark
Disallow: /private-path/
Crawl-delay: 10Blocking us at your edge or WAF works too, and we treat it as a final answer: a 401, 403 or 404 ends the request. We do not retry it, change addresses, or look for another way in.
What it does
- Reads pages and data endpoints your site serves to any visitor without logging in. Nothing behind a login, a paywall, a CAPTCHA or a firewall.
- Runs about once a day, with requests to any one host spaced out and capped in size. It is slow on purpose.
- Keeps specific fields — price, status, specifications, incentive terms and the page they came from. Not archives of your pages.
- Does not host your photographs. Where one of your images appears on our site, the visitor’s browser loads it from your servers.
Reaching a person
Write to support@serenialabs.space. We acknowledge within two business days and act within ten, and you can ask us to correct something that is wrong about your homes, stop displaying particular content, or stop collecting from your site altogether. No explanation owed, and no argument from us.
Faster than robots.txt, too — we review a site’s robots.txt when a collector for it is written or revised rather than on every run, so an email is the quickest way to be certain we have acted. The full account of how we collect is in our Terms of Use.
